Producing a KYB study is a team effort, involving the Production Director, the Editing Officer, a writer, editors, pilot groups, proofreaders, a vetter and a formatter. CWCI International produces 4 KYB studies each year, and each study takes 4 years to produce. This means there are numerous studies being produced at any given time.
The writer is given 2 years to produce a draft manuscript. In the 6 months following, an edit team (consisting of 3-4 women) carefully and prayerfully works through the manuscript together (via an online meeting). The edit team's aim is to ensure the study is simply and clearly written, with ideas that are true to Scripture.
When editing is finished, the study is trialed by two pilot groups. These are ordinary KYB groups who work through the study a year in advance. They provide feedback to the edit team who then make any necessary changes.
Next, the revised manuscript is sent to a theologically-qualified vetter who checks the study for theological accuracy. After that, it is checked by three proofreaders and, lastly, is given to the Production Director for a final check.
The final study book and leader's guide files are made available to CWCI Australia, NZ, UK who print and distribute the books in their countries. They are also made available to KYB4M, CWCI International ensures the books are made available to all other countries and is responsible for the printing and distribution of the Easy English studies.
